- The European Railways Purchasing Conference (as from now on “ERPC”) is an institution created by European Railways Companies, both Operators and Infrastructure managers.
- The “ERPC” acts a forum for Purchasing Directors of the Railway Companies of Europe, with the objective to encourage and support the development of professional purchasing processes within the members companies.
- The strategy to achieve this objective is to foster mutual contacts among the leading buyers of the railway companies in Europe.
- Since July 1, 2004, “ERPC” is a body of the International Union of Railways (UIC, Union International de Chemin de Fer) and is installed as a “Special Group” conform UIC statutes.
